I have been wanting to try living in Australia for a number of years, mainly for the weather, on the young persons visa and realised that this was my last year (30 this year-gulp) to attempt my dream! Therefore I have quit my job at BlackRock- I did really like the team so am going to miss them all, and booked a one way flight on 10th April, to Nepal -yes I know that's not Oz!
I wanted to do a bit of travelling before I arrive for my new life in Sydney and although I normally have my travel buddies with me (Lucy Watson and Alice Broughton-going to miss you 😢 ) I am attempting this myself. Mostly because no one can get time off or save money to come....
Therefore my plan is as follows:
1. Nepal
2. Malaysia
3. Vietnam
4. Hong Kong
5. Singapore
6. Borneo
7. Brunei
8. Australia- Perth, Cairns, gold coast then SYDNEY!!!
I will spend a year in Sydney before coming back....Yes the plan is to come back!
Hopefully visiting New Zealand, Fiji, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and who knows what else, on the way back, arriving back in good old Edinburgh in Sept 2018.
Now, just got to organise myself and pack.......
